Features and improvements:

• Implemented a new system service to configure VPS (host and virtual servers settings). The service is to run during VPS host boot and configure VPS if this hasn't been done when installing an hsphere-vps package due to booting the host with no-FreeVPS kernel.
• Implemented a new cron job to retrieve packages required for VPS initialization. If packages required for VPS initialization were not retrieved during VPS configuration, the job will be configured in cron to run max 5 times every 30 minutes.

Updates:

• Included the latest CP+ 3.4.1 version into H-Sphere VPS templates
• Updated RedHat Enterprise Linux release 4 (and all its clones) packages to the latest version 4.5
• Updated H-Sphere VPS templates' packages to the latest available versions for all other supported operating systems.

Fixes

• Limits management fixes:
  • Prevented disabling all supported VPS limits
  • If a new value for VPS limit cannot be set, the old one is kept (instead of turning the limit off).
• H-Sphere VPS status script return values adjusted to H-Sphere Control Panel.

• Kernel is now based on the latest RedHat EL 3 kernel version 2.4.21-47.0.1
• Fixed kernel panic related to network communication between different virtual contexts

• VPS config is now re-read after each pre-[start|stop] script execution
• Added ability to request VPS start on system boot time (STARTORDER option in the VPS config file)

Fixes:

• Corrected freevps daemon script runlevels: the deamon has to be stopped on runlevels 0 (halt) and 6 (reboot), and started on runlevel 3
• Removed duplicate ;; from the debian prerm file (remove|upgrade|deconfigure sections).

New FreeVPS Documentation

To improve your experience working with FreeVPS, we have created the following documentation:

• FreeVPS WIKI pages - to help you with online FreeVPS Kernel and H-Sphere VPS manual pages, at the same time it contains some helpful information in the HowTo section and other FreeVPS related documentation.
• FreeVPS CVS Web Interface - to keep you in touch with the latest project code changes, its logs, and history.

Also we have implemented Snapshots' mirror (courtesy of Olivier Kaloudoff). Currently, we are looking for those who could host our mirrors. The rsync mirrors configuration should be as follows:

• Updated to the latest version aacraid sources
• Restored aacraid build
• Kernel API made compatible with 2.6 kernel. This resolves utime problem with non redhat glibc
